Cabinet Hardware Installation

Cabinet Hardware Installation: illustrative before-and-after comparison of the same setting

New pulls or handles can change the appearance and feel of cabinet doors and drawers without replacing the cabinetry. The installation starts with the selected hardware and the existing fronts. We review the mounting arrangement and condition before assuming that a different style can use the same holes or conceal all marks left by the old hardware.

Product dimensions and the way neighboring doors or drawers move affect compatibility. A new pull may feel different in use, but it is not a repair for a misaligned door or damaged drawer component. We discuss those concerns separately so a hardware change has a defined purpose rather than becoming an undefined cabinet overhaul.

During the working visit, identify the fronts involved and share your product preferences. We review fit, access, the included pieces and price before approval. Cabinet adjustment, painting and refinishing are separate services. Custom cabinet construction and concealed repairs are outside this hardware task, and no exact finish match, universal fit or guaranteed improvement for every user is promised.

For cabinet hardware installation, the agreed work can include review of the selected cabinet doors and drawers; pull or handle compatibility assessment; existing-hole, material and clearance review; installation of the confirmed hardware; operation and visible-finish handoff. We confirm the included tasks, materials and price with you before work begins.

Questions about cabinet hardware installation

Will every new pull use the existing holes?

No. The mounting arrangement and selected product need review.

Can a new handle fix a misaligned door?

No. Door adjustment is a separate repair task.

Is cabinet painting included?

No. Painting and refinishing have their own scope.

Will old marks disappear under the new hardware?

That is not guaranteed; the footprint and existing finish determine what may remain visible.

Do I need to buy all the handles first?

No. Product choices can be discussed during the visit.
