Custom Fence Building

Building a custom fence begins with the purpose of the new run and the space it will occupy. Appearance, visibility, access and the way sections meet gates or existing fencing all affect the design. Keystone Handyman provides custom fence building by discussing those choices together, so the proposal describes a complete project rather than a collection of panels selected without a clear layout or connection plan.

A new fence is different from repairing the existing run or replacing one damaged section. The project needs defined start and stop points, material choices, supporting components and any openings you want included. Existing parts may be retained only where their condition and suitability allow. The location must also be established through the appropriate property decisions; construction does not by itself determine where a boundary lies.

You can start with the result you want rather than detailed measurements or a finished design. During the working visit, we review the intended layout and accessible conditions, discuss materials and the scope, and explain the price before approval. Removal of existing fencing, gates, coating and surrounding restoration need to be identified explicitly. Those decisions affect the work and prevent assumptions about what the new build includes.

For custom fence building, the agreed work can include onsite discussion of the intended run, access and design goals; selection of the agreed material, style and compatible components; construction and installation of the defined fence project; specified gates, removal, disposal or retained-section connections where included; agreed finish and surrounding restoration with clear project boundaries. We confirm the included tasks, materials and price with you before work begins.

Questions about custom fence building

Do I need a complete fence design before booking?

No. Explain the purpose and appearance you want. Layout and materials can be discussed onsite before the work and price are agreed.

Does building the fence establish my property line?

No. The fence location must be settled through the appropriate property decisions. Construction is not a boundary determination or survey.

Can old posts or sections be reused?

Possibly, if their condition and suitability fit the new design. Their presence alone does not make them appropriate for the planned construction.

Are gates included in a custom fence?

Only when they are part of the defined project. Identify the access you need so gate construction and hardware can be included explicitly.

Does the project include removing the old fence?

Removal and disposal need to be stated in the scope. They are not assumed from the decision to build a new run.

Is staining or sealing included automatically?

No. The desired finish, preparation and coating area should be agreed separately as part of the overall project if you want them included.
